Through photography I approached the audiovisual arts and soon began to work on documentaries, feature films and short films. I started out as a Camera Assistant and now I am a Director of Photography.

Hello, I’m David Olivera, DOP & Camera Operator born and raised in the Canary Islands, a volcanic archipelago in Spain (situated between three continents, Europe, America and Africa).
This peculiar geographical situation has defined my “island character” and has made me grow as part of a very enriching cultural and artistic environment.
I’ve begun a new chapter in my life in the city of Los Angeles, California, where I have joined the city’s audiovisual industry by collaborating with other filmmakers, and I also develop my own projects.
